Up early to be picked up by our friendly taxi driver at 6:15am. He drove us to the airport like he had flock of Ancient Greek harpies chasing him. He was very careful despite speed and the car being a Lincoln was extremely stable. We arrived at the airport 25 minutes later and joined queue for 7am qantas gate opening.
Checkin went smoothly as expected. Security involved X-raying our bodies with our arms above our heads. Having seen, what they see, I hope they have a good mental health program for their security guys.
The security guys also bomb tested our biscuits. They are dangerous those biscuits!
Once through security the airport is very open aired.
We walked 17 minutes to reach our gate. Melissa got a few steps up towards her 10000 steps. Lucky we were able to find food place near the gate. After breakfast, we had roughly $2USD left in our wallets. 🙂 Time to go home to Australia, pity we are visiting Sydney would have rather it be Melbourne. Oh well 😔.
