Day 25 (Sunday 1st Dec19) Day 6 Paris- river and night tour

Another lazy morning. We headed off mid morning to catch Batobus (water bus) to take hop on hop off trip around the river Seine.   It was interesting to see the city from the river. 

We have hopped off only at Notre Dame to have a better look at the cathedral and to find Sainte-Chapelle. It is supposedly very beautiful. 

The streets of Saint Germane and Notre Dame still hold an old world charm. We ate a wonderful  lunch at the Metro Bar and Brasserie. The dining experience has returned to excellent norm. 

We explored the area and decided our next visit to Paris would involve accommodation in this part of Paris.

We saw the damaged Notre Dame.

We visited Sainte-Chapelle, a beautiful cathedral built for Louis the nineth in the early 1200s. 

In the late afternoon we returned to the water bus to cruise back to the Lourve.
The Seine River is very pleasant to cruise.


At apartment we conducted a fast change of clothes and added additional layers of clothes ready for the expected cold. 
We headed back to Seine River to catch a boat to the Place de la Concorde then headed down the Champ- Elysees avenue ( https://en.parisinfo.com/discovering-paris/walks-in-paris/all-you-need-to-know-about-the-champs-elysees)  to the Arc de Triomphe (  http://www.paris-arc-de-triomphe.fr/en/). 

We joined the Big Bus Night Tour of Paris for 2 hour trip around the “city of lights” which took in the various Arcs, the Lourve, the various Palaces , churches, Norte Dame, Christmas Avenues of Champ- Elysees, Moulin Rouge ( http://www.moulinrouge.fr/?lang=en&lang=en&gclid=CjwKCAiA5o3vBRBUEiwA9PVzaukCwU7eKKgg9a-xf0Zc459Mk9KpKIurVZT39i9zAl7ZtOs6C_PIABoCMTwQAvD_BwE) and Effie Tower.

 Cos a devotee of history enjoyed the various historical places

We enjoyed some hot wine and dessert at The Champ Mars to finish the night.
