Day 4 (Sunday 10Nov19) leaving Venice on cruise ship.

Another wonderful morning in beautiful Venice 😊.  A lovely big Italian breakfast and out we went for one quick explore near our hotel. The breakfast staff must thought we needed food, presented us with local biscuits as a gift. We had to cross water with the high tide, wearing stylish plastic bags on our feet.

Beautiful Venice didn’t disappoint. Glorious autumn day, not too cold. After our explore, we checked out and headed to the docks for our Alilaguna (water bus) to the cruise port. After a wait of 40 minutes, (we assume it was late) we headed down the grand canal to the port. We passed some grand palaces of bygone era.

Our arrival at the cruise port and our various check ins and passport checks went quickly and soon we was aboard the Norwegian Star all up taking about 1 hour and a half.

Not in our statesroom yet enjoying our first meal.  Wait staff and crew we have encounter have been extremely friendly and helpful.

Seems like a nicer ship than our previous NCL. It is more stylish and adult than “Pride of America”.

Our stateroom is pleasant but the balcony is large and private.

Just had our safety drill, some passengers are just rude. The poor crew spent some time waiting for passengers to stop talking and playing with their mobiles. We go there eventually but not before some passengers left in a huff. Rude sods!

After celebrating with a wine in one of the Irish bars, we returned to our stateroom to drink cocktails (long island tea and  Dark and Stormy) on our balcony as the ship left port at 6:30pm.
